Superintendent Myers

As I start my third year as your Superintendent, I want to thank everyone in the Parkers Prairie community for your trust and support. Our schools are strong because we work together—students, families, staff, and community members all play an important part in helping our Panthers learn and grow.

Superintendent Goals for the Year
This year, I have three main goals that guide the work we do as a school district:

Community Engagement and Communication Goal:
I want to keep everyone informed about what’s happening in our schools and listen to what our community has to say.
(This means we will share updates and hold meetings or events where families and community members can ask questions and give feedback.)

Leadership and Governance Goal:
I will make sure our schools are run with clear direction and that we follow all rules and laws.
(“Governance” means how a school district is managed and how decisions are made to support students and staff.)

Fiscal Management Goal:
I will take care of our school budget in a smart and honest way so we can use our money wisely.
(This includes making sure we spend funds on learning, caring for our buildings, and keeping our schools running smoothly.)

Parkers Prairie Referendum: Investing in Our Future
On November 4, 2025, our community will vote on a school referendum—a special ballot question that helps decide how we fund our schools. There will be two questions on the ballot:

Question 1: Renew our current operating levy of $800 per student each year for ten years.
(An “operating levy” helps pay for teachers, classroom materials, sports, and activities—everything that supports students day-to-day.)

Question 2: Approve a $5.43 million building bond, but only if Question 1 passes first.
(A “building bond” is money used to fix and care for our school buildings—like repairing roofs, windows, and walls—so our schools stay safe and last a long time.)
We will share information and hold community meetings to explain what this means for Parkers Prairie Schools and how it affects families. Everyone’s questions and opinions matter, and your participation helps us make good choices for our students’ future.

Appreciation for Our Community
I am so thankful for the people of Parkers Prairie. You cheer on our students, volunteer your time, and show pride in our schools. That kind of support makes a big difference and helps our students know they belong and are cared for.

Thank you for being part of our Panther team. Together, we are building a strong future for our schools, our students, and our community.

With gratitude and Panther Pride,
Megan Myers
